Sobre Canon EOS R6 MARK 2
La principal novedad del Canon R6 II es un nuevo sensor de 24,2 MP, frente a los 20 MP del R6 original. Esto no es un gran aumento en la resolución práctica, pero permite que el R6 II iguale la resolución de muchos entusiastas de las cámaras populares.
Como es habitual con los cuerpos EOS, el nuevo sensor está diseñado y fabricado por Canon. Sin embargo, a pesar de tener el mismo tamaño y resolución que el último buque insignia de Canon, el R3, no es un sensor BSI o multicapa. Sin embargo, Canon dice que el rendimiento del obturador rodante sigue siendo mejor que el sensor del R6. Puede disparar hasta 40 fps con el obturador electrónico, aunque la cámara usa una lectura de 12 bits para esto.

El R6 original podía grabar video UHD 4K/60p, pero tiene algunas limitaciones:
causó un pequeño recorte (1.07x) en todo el ancho del sensor, y el video en todos los modos está limitado a 30 minutos por clip. El nuevo modelo mejora ambas áreas añadiendo algunas novedades interesantes.
El R6 II captura video UHD 4K/60p extendido utilizando todo el ancho del sensor, sin recortes. También puedes grabar 4K/60p desde el sensor APS-C. En todos estos casos, se mejora la eficiencia térmica. Canon dice que puede grabar 4K/60p por hasta 40 minutos usando el ancho completo del sensor y hasta 50 minutos en modo APS-C. Cuando se dispara a una velocidad de fotogramas más baja, como 4K/30p o 4K/24p, no hay límite de tiempo.
También se ha mejorado el rendimiento de alta frecuencia de cuadro, con el R6 II capaz de hasta 1080/180p en comparación con 1080/120p en el R6. Sin embargo, ya no se producen fotogramas Full HD, por lo que hay una pérdida de calidad. Canon dice que podrá imprimir en este modo durante 60 minutos o más antes de que ocurra el problema. Es un poco de un paseo.
Nuestro equipo de DPReview TV realizó una prueba completa aleatoria de 4K/60p con el modelo y grabó durante una hora a temperatura ambiente sin problemas. En resumen, no parece que el calor vaya a ser un gran problema con esta cámara, a menos que necesites grabar largometrajes como entrevistas en 4K/60p.
El R6 II también es compatible con la transmisión de video ProRes RAW cuando se usa con una grabadora Atomos compatible. Esto incluye video Raw de 6K usando el ancho completo del sensor, o video Raw de 3.7K usando recorte Super35. La cámara puede grabar simultáneamente en archivos proxy FHD cuando se utiliza un flujo de trabajo Raw externo. El soporte de Atomos no estaba disponible para probar en nuestro chasis previo, pero el soporte a menudo se anuncia al mismo tiempo que se lanza una nueva cámara.
Entre otras cosas, Canon ha agregado varias funciones para mejorar la transmisión de video. Cuando se trabaja en modo de video, el menú Q ofrece una interfaz de video única y multifacética. AUTOFOCUS CANON R6 MARK II
Según Canon, la R6 II incluye aprendizaje automático adicional en sus algoritmos de enfoque automático y toma parte de la tecnología de su predecesora, la EOS R3 (pero no el sistema de enfoque automático guiado por el ojo de la R3). Esto debería resultar en una mejor adhesión cuando la cámara está siguiendo objetos.
El R6 II agrega nuevas opciones de seguimiento más allá de las características de “personas” y “animales” disponibles en el R6. Sin embargo, una adición potencialmente muy útil es el nuevo método “automático” para la detección y seguimiento de objetos. En lugar de elegir una parte del evento, la interfaz combina automáticamente ejemplos de un problema en particular e intenta usar el mejor algoritmo basado en los hallazgos. Esto puede simplificar su proceso al fotografiar sujetos mixtos. Finalmente, para grabar videos, el R6 II incluye un nuevo sistema de enfoque automático de “solo mirar”. 0.5-inch OLED EVF with Approx. 3.69 Million Dots
A high-precision 0.5-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) EVF with approx. 3.69 million dots and a 23mm eyepoint displays a bright image and extensive shooting information. The EOS R6 Mark II’s EVF supports up to a 120 fps refresh rate and has been designed to provide a bright, sharp and colorful 100% view of the subject at hand. There’s also an Optical Viewfinder (OVF) Simulation setting, which provides a higher dynamic range viewfinder image for superior viewing in harsh, contrasty lighting situations.
Wired and Wireless Communications
The EOS R6 Mark II supports both wired and wireless connections to your smartphone via its USB Type-C (9) port, built-in Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technology, making it easy to upload and share movies and photos to your favorite social networks.
Built-in Bluetooth Capability
Bluetooth pairing helps you connect the camera to compatible smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app. This low-energy wireless connection helps preserve battery life, while providing remote control of the camera. It also sends continuously updated GPS location data from your phone, letting you geotag what you’ve captured so you know precisely where you captured the photo.
Built-in Wi-Fi Capability
Enable wireless functions, such as file viewing and transfer, by connecting to Wi-Fi quickly and seamlessly, and exchange data with other Wi-Fi compatible Canon cameras. Using the Canon Camera Connect app, you can also transfer files to your mobile device to browse and share on social media.
USB-C Connection
New to the EOS R6 Mark II is the ability to connect the camera to a computer or smartphone via USB-C. (9) All Canon Camera Connect app features that can be used with Wi-Fi are now available when the camera and smartphone are connected via USB, using a compatible cable for your device.
UVC Livestreaming
UVC/UAC compatibility allows the EOS R6 Mark II to be used as a web camera and stream live video in Full HD, without additional computer software, to applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, and similar on-line meeting software. (9) Thanks to the full-frame CMOS sensor, you’ll be able to distribute clear live video images with low noise during remote conferences or livestreaming content.
